Based in the village of Carno, situated between the market towns of  Llanidloes, Newtown and Machynlleth, Cledan valley tipi's is the brainchild of long time welsh hill farmer,Hywel Jones, who wanted to share the beauty of Wylfa farm which he has farmed for over twenty years with his family.

The idea behind the tipi's was to add to the beauty and special nature of this secluded valley, rather than detract from it. We aim to provide a high quality experience, hence the low number of tipi's on an eight acre site.
The site is a family run affair, owned by Hywel and his wife Betty, and day to day running is taken care of by their daughter Beth.

They are first language welsh speakers and welcome inquiries in English or Welsh.
Betty was also a support worker, taking care of disabled people with special needs and the elderly, her ideas and experience helped make a unique site available to many people who may not have previously been able to enjoy this kind of holiday.

Beth takes bookings, looks after the site full time and  she is also a full time mother, so expect to see a couple of small helpers when you meet her on site.
